The Sparrows' Nest is hosting a meeting with comrades from the very-newly established Slovenian Anarchist Federation on Monday 26th Oct at 8.00pm. It's a last-minute job (they are over for the London Anarchist bookfair and we've persuaded them to visit) so if you can help spread the word, please do.
The meeting is entitled 'Balkan Anarchism: A Slovenian Perspective'.
They will address Balkan cooperation among different anarchist groups, e.g. through the annual Balkan anarchist bookfair (which includes ex-Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Greek Thessaloniki anarchists); the relationship between ex-Yugoslavian groups; rising state repression of anarchists, e.g. the case in Serbia where IWA activists are being held on charges of international terorrism; legal cases in Slovenia; and what anarchist cooperation can bring to a region still divided on nationalistic, ethnic and religious grounds.
Please come!
