E-mail Print PDF

We've been going over a year and a half since The Sparrows' Nest opening event in December 2008. Since then we've been cataloguing continuously. A big thanks to everyone who has helped with this!

Take a look at our most recently updated Online catalogue with searchable keywords: ANARCHIST BOOKS/PAMPHLETS - note fairly large file size (4MB) so wait to load before searching (Highest catalogue number is 1805). Alternatively, Download/print catalogue by author (no keywords, 380kB filesize): ANARCHIST BOOKS/PAMPHLETSLast updated 21-August-2010.

More scanned in material - Class War on football

E-mail Print PDF

We recently had a request from the French-speaking Anarchist Federation for articles in Class War paper about football, so we are scanning in relevant pages of our archive from the 1980s onwards: http://thesparrowsnest.org.uk/scans/class_war_football/

Scanned articles on other topics can be found at http://thesparrowsnest.org.uk/scans/

Scanned in Nottingham & Notts anti-Poll Tax press cuttings and leaflets

E-mail Print PDF

Since it's the 20th anniversary of the infamous Robin Hood council house invasion in March 2010, we have scanned in most of our archive of local Nottingham and Notts anti-Poll Tax press cuttings, newsletters and leaflets from 1989-1990s. Hope you enjoy reading them. Please send us your publications and cuttings (or scans of these) if you still have them and would like to donate to the Sparrows' Nest. We aim to build up our local struggle collections over the coming years. More scanned articles can be found at http://thesparrowsnest.org.uk/scans/

Scanned and online documents project

E-mail Print PDF

We plan to scan in some of the interesting and rarer material held by the Sparrows' Nest.

For a taster, read a rough scan and also a typed up version of Anarchy issue 38 (vol 4, no 1) 1964, with articles by Philip Callow (Nottingham United), Ray Gosling (Robin Hood Rides Again - a rebel scene), Clifford Lee (Nottingham at 14), Anon (Riotous times in Nottingham 1754-1854), Paul Ritter (Planning for Man and Motor in Nottingham), Harold Drasdo (Pages from a Nottingham Notebook), Alan Sillitoe (Poor People).

If that’s a bit before your time, how about the 2008 smear of Earth First! in The Observer?
